All I can say is - I think the Lord has something HUGE planned for this trip, because I am seeing spiritual warfare like never before. I have a friend that went to the first Discipleship Training session, and during the two weeks leading up to the trip he experienced all sorts of spiritual attacks (illness, a car wreck that left his car pretty much totaled, and greater-than-normal stress at work). He said that two of the girls on the trip got very sick, and one was even taken to the emergency room. I've experienced some spiritual attacks lately in my own life as well, and after reading Bethany's blog on her Xanga site, it sounds like she is fighting off a horrible cold.
Make no mistake...Satan does NOT want us to go on this trip and get spiritually charged up for the Lord. BUT..."He who is in you is GREATER than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). Let's put on the whole armor of God and get ready to see the Lord do some amazing things!

Thank you, Michelle, for requesting everyone's prayers. They are GREATLY appreciated. You know, the other day I briefly considered calling and giving up my place for someone on a waiting list, because this cold just was hanging on with such a fierceness. But then my parents came upstairs and prayed over me, asking for God's healing over the spiritual attack. And I dismissed the idea of giving in then and there.
Yes, the enemy sure is getting revved up over this anointed time, and that just thrills me! AMEN! God IS going to mightily use this time for HIS glory!! Praise the LORD! "But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one." -2 Thess. 3:3 Bring it on! Our God is GREATER!
Praying for God to surround each of you with His protection and provide traveling mercies! He is our Shield and our Defense.
