Greetings in the Name of our Lord,
I was so thrilled to see this blog site get set up for the refreshment of each other and to read all of your contributions! Oh, how you are all missed in lil' Windsor! I feel as though there was a big family get-together and now comes the 'let down' after everyone left at once. :-) But, great is our God who ALONE does wondrous things and has yet still more for each of us in Christ Jesus. Being on staff made for alot to be busy with, but I wanted you to know how you all and each inspired me and encouraged me in the 'pressing on still more'. All of your hugs, 'thank yous', encouragement, and conversations were of great refreshment to not only myself, but each of us on the team. Thank you. It's certainly our joy and delight to have our homes FILLED with set-apart brothers and sisters where Christ can reign, grow, and refresh us all.
The Lord had me in II Chronicles throughout both sessions and meditating on it since. I wanted to pass on the joyous words of our God, that He may encourage your souls as you press on in victory!
Portions are taken from chapter 20 - (You can go there to read the context)
As Jehoshaphat came upon the army of the Ammonites...
"He set himself to seek the Lord...and gathered the people to ask help of the Lord."
- They then went on in the following verses to declare WHO their God was, WHAT He had done for them in the past, their inadequacy to come against an enemy or even know what to do...then they said -
"...But our eyes are upon THEE."
"...Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's...Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: SET YOURSELVES, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you...for the Lord will be with you......Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established..."
"...he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that they should praise the beauty of holiness as they went out before the army; for His mercy endureth forever. And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against (the enemy)."
- Victory had been declared by the word of the Lord, but it wasn't until the people went forward, facing the enemy, with praise on their lips and in faith, that the Lord showed the destruction of the opposition. We must walk in the certainty of our Lord's word and face the battle in praise at HIS certain victory on our behalf.
"...And when (after the battle and victory) his people came to take away the spoil, they found...in abundance both riches and precious jewels...more than they could carry away, for it was so much...for the Lord had made them to rejoice over their enemies!"
- The reward of God for His people who set themselves still - in peace as they fight - knowing and believing in the faithfulness of their God who fights is of greater value than can be counted. As we go forth in praise every day and in the assurance of Who our God is, we will discover and be given more beautiful treasures in Christ than we could ever fully know!
It is the greatest joy to be in the battle with such set-apart brothers and sisters. You are loved and you are being cheered on! Keep the blog notes going and continue to testify of the work of our Lord.
Your sister and co-laborer,

Hosea 6:1,3
Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up...Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; His going forth is sure as the dawnl He will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth."

Yeah!!! Thanks Annie!!! Those words are so true and very encouraging!!!
Wow - what a blessing! Yes, more and more I am realizing, how MUCH the Lord wants to do for me, if I will just step aside and allow Him to work! Self diminish that Christ may shine!
Thank you Annie! You are such a blessing and inspiration!
AMEN! Such TRUTH. Thank you, Annie, for sharing your gleanings with us!
The whole concept... going forth in confidence and PRAISE!! Nothing confuses the enemy more!! :-D Praise God for His faithfulness and MIGHT.
Good stuff. I'm loving this time of constant TRUTH and just digging deeply into the depths of Christ.

How true this is in our life...we want to prepare our bodies and then go running, screaming towards the enemy in order to scare them. But, all we truly need to do is lift our song-filled voices to the Lord and procede with confidence because of what He has done so far in our lives and what He has yet to do!
